The Bachelor Predictions: Are These Picks Spot On?

The new year brings a new season of The Bachelor, and with it a fresh new crop of contestants attempting to shamelessly grab publicity and up their social media following find true love.
The first episode of season 20 premiered Monday, and the internet is already abuzz with predictions of who will receive Bachelor Ben’s final rose.
People magazine revealed their top picks - let’s have a look and see if you agree.

Olivia

The tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed, seemingly real-life incarnation of a Stepford Wife who left her dream job as a news anchor to be on the show is their first choice.
Olivia won the First Impression Rose, and by gum, she loves cuddling, French fries andThe Shawshank Redemption, so she’s got to be every man’s dream... right?

Amber and Becca

America got to know these two on the last season of The Bachelor, but they ultimately wound up ringless. Could these women have an advantage because they've now mastered the system and can totally beat it?
Who knows, but I’m personally rooting for Becca, who says her biggest dating fear is clogging up a toilet in the vein of Dumb and Dumber. Now this is a girl I can identify with.

Haley and Emily

Haley and Emily are identical twins, and isn't it time this show reach peak cliche by introducing the male fantasy of twincest?
Also, their occupations on the ABC site are listed simply as “Twin,” so clearly their split zygote status is Very Important.
But Ben can’t pick them both. Will one do?

JoJo

Welp, the girl came out of the limo wearing a unicorn head. One doesn’t forget that easily.

The Laurens

There are four contestants named Lauren, so by selecting one of them you automatically have a one in seven chance of picking the winner.
But People is hedging their bets on Lauren B., because, you know, she’s a flight attendant. Evidently, they're under the impression that Ben is completely unoriginal.

Lace and Mandi

Dubbed “The Entertainers,” Lace and Mandi are the requisite drama queens, and no one would watch if it wasn’t for them.
Mandi, a dentist, showed up wearing a ginormous, blossoming rose hat and gave Ben a literal dental exam while Lace got all up in Ben’s face because he didn’t make eye contact with her during the rose ceremony.
These two may or may not become Mrs. Bachelor, but we have no doubt the network will keep them around for a while, because they’ve probably already agreed (off the record, of course) to pile on the theatrics.
What say you? Who do you think Ben will propose to upon season’s end (then break up with a few months later)?

Clay Aiken SLAMS American Idol: What a Snoozefest!

n honor of its final season kicking off, American Idol brought back a few fan favorites on its Wednesday night premiere.
Clay Aiken was not one of them. And we have a feeling he won't be making an appearance on the show that made him famous any time soon, either.
The Season 2 finalist live-Tweeted his American Idol viewing experience this week, telling followers it was the first time he tuned in for the show in about 10 years.
And it's safe to say he was not impressed.
"Well... now I know why the ratings are down," Aiken wrote early on, adding:
"Oh good Lord... those boring ass responses from the judges!? Where is Simon when you need him!? That guy need a hook to pull him off stage."
There are many reasons why American Idol has lost popularity over the years, from other singing shows such as The Voice rising up to simple viewer fatigue.
But Aiken isn't wrong. Losing Simon Cowell was a major blow to the franchise.
It's been a struggle to replace someone with his expertise, honesty and humor.
In Aiken's view, he was the only reason to tune in on a weekly basis:
"It's VERY clear now that @SimonCowell was the reason @AmericanIdol was a hit. I've watched root canals more entertaining than these judges."
Aiken finished second on Season 2 to Ruben Studdard.
He has gone on to star on Broadway and even run for political office in North Carolina.
"Leave it to the contestants from #Raleigh NC to totally make tonight's show worth watching!!" he also Tweeted, remaining loyal to his home state.
Upon receiving backlash for his rebuke of American Idol, Aiken replied that he only spoke this way out of love... and frustration:
"When your favorite team that you've cheered for for years happens to play a shitty game, you're absolutely allowed to be upset about it.

Rob Kardashian: Family Intervention Looming Over Diabetes?

The Kardashians are taking on diabetes, according to a new report, in the form of another intervention aimed at helping troubled Rob.
Or more accurately, helping Rob help himself.
When Rob Kardashian was hospitalized with diabetes last month, few were shocked and everyone was sad for the 28-year-old.
Family and fans alike hoped this would be the wake-up call he desperately needs, as there's no doubt his lifestyle is unhealthy.
Rob knows he's in this position “because of his weight gain,” says a source, and has vowed to overhaul his habits. But will he?
"He agreed he will do follow-up doctors’ appointments and he’s taking medication to control his blood sugar,” the insider says.
Again ... but will he actually follow through with it?
Mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian have beenunderwhelmed by his efforts so far, we're hearing.
“They’re concerned he’s not taking the situation seriously," a friend says, and as a result, they are preparing for more drastic action.
“They’re planning on doing an intervention with him."
It won't be the first time, but "he’s detached himself from everyone. Nobody knows what’s going on with him until it’s too late."
If you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online, you know the family devised a plan to get Rob in-home treatment last spring.
A desperate Kris explained on the show at the time,  “I feel like if I don’t help him do something drastic that he’s going to die."
We truly hope it doesn't come to that, but at this point, Rob needs to man up and take some responsibility for his actions and future.
With all the resources available to him and the support system he has in place, a little initiative would go a very long way.

Vin Diesel Pays Touching Tribute to Paul Walker at People's Choice Awards

At last night's 2016 People's Choice AwardsFurious 7 took home two top prizes, winning for both favorite movie and favorite action movie.
It also produced the night's most emotional moment, by far.
While the franchise is known for its eclectic ensemble cast, star and producer Vin Diesel took the stage by himself to accept the awards.
He wasn't alone in spirit, of course.
As you likely know, Diesel's co-star and close friend Paul Walker was killed in a car accident in 2013; his character "retired" in Furious 7.
Given Walker's crucial importance to the franchise, and Diesel's life, his acceptance speech wouldn't have been complete without a tribute.
Boy, did he deliver a memorable one.
"You know, as I was coming up here, I always do this. I say I'm not going to get emotional about winning these awards," Vin said.
"And I was cool when I was sitting in my seat, and then they handed me two awards," Diesel told the crowd as he fought back tears.
"One for favorite action movie and one for favorite film. You all thought that this was your favorite film. I think of Dom and Brian and I start to think of Paul."
He closed his speech by crooning a few bars from Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again," the hit song from the blockbuster film's soundtrack and one that's come to be closely associated with Walker and his passing.
"I thank you so much and the only thing I can say now, 'It's been a long day without you, my friend, and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again,'" Diesel said, the audience roaring as he broke into song.
It was a moment that matched any awards show highlight in terms of pure emotion, and it was a tribute that fans of the franchise, as well family and friends of Paul Walker's, will cherish for years to come.
Check it out now ... and bring the tissues.

Katy Perry and John Mayer: Back Together For 2016!!

We're a few days into a new year, so a lot of the folks reading this are currently brimming with motivation and positivity, but sadly, most of you will eventually fall back into your old ways.
So why delay the inevitable? Why not make like Katy Perry? All you have to do is cut to the chase and kick off 2016 by repeating your worst mistake for the 4,000th time.
Katy Perry, John Mayer ImageYes, Katy and John Mayer ended 2015 with a bang, literally, as they were spotted having dinner together in Los Angerles, and then heading back to Katy's place in separate vehicles.
The old taking two cars schtick didn't fool the paparazzi, however, and Us Weekly is now reporting that Katy and John are back together
We apologize for the confusing feeling of deja vu you're experiencing at the moment.
John and Katy have reconciled many, many times before, and no, we don't really have any idea if they're actually dating or just making bedroom fireworks and exploring one another's wonderland-like bodies.
The singers appeared to briefly be an item again last summer, but several sources reported that Mayer dumped Perry in July as part of a pattern that these two are seemingly doomed to repeat until the end of time.
But hey, it's a new year, so maybe John and Katy are a new couple, right?
Sure. Hey, let us know when you drop that extra 20 pounds, quit Facebook, finish your novel and start volunteering, won't you?

Jaden Smith Dons Skirt for Louis Vutton Campaign

aden Smith has been announced as the new face of Louis Vutton.
But it's not the star's face on which most people are focused today.
Jaden Smith for Louis VuttonInstead, many people are taken aback by the 17-year old's first print ad on behalf of the fashion company, which has hired Smith to promote its latest spring/summer womenswear collection.
Yes, WOMENSwear.
Smith - who is featured above alongside models Sarah Brannon, Rianne Van Rompaey and Jean Campbell - has been known to wear dresses as part of his androgynous style.
He rocked a dress while attending the prom last year and also sometimes wears a Batman costume because... why not, right?
"Thank You So Much @louisvuitton And @nicolasghesquiere For The Opportunity To Impact This World," Jaden Tweeted this morning in response to the campaign, giving a shout out to the artistic director of the fashion house, Nicolas Ghesquiere.
LoaderThe teenager, of course, is the only son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
He's dabbled in acting and in rapping and is now trying his hand at modeling.
He was rumored at one time to be datingKylie Jenner.
Nicolas Ghesquière, creative director of the house of Louis Vuitton, explained why the label wanted Jaden to model for this particular collection:
"Why does Jaden Smith star in this campaign? He represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender.
"Wearing a skirt comes as naturally to him as it would to a woman who, long ago, granted herself permission to wear a man's trench or a tuxedo."
